Capture Demo is a fully operational version of Capture that is limited by a superimposed pattern which appears on captured images. The commercial release of Capture does not have this pattern.

Capture Demo can be installed by clicking the Install Capture Demo button from within the Capture Demo stack. Optionally, Capture Demo can be installed from the Finder. Drag the Capture Demo icon onto your closed system folder. If you are running System 7.0, an alert box appears asking if you wish to place Capture Demo in the Control Panels folder; click OK. Restart your computer. The Capture Demo icon should appear at the bottom of the screen during startup.
* * * Using Capture Demo * * *
Activate Capture Demo by pressing shift-command-3. Use the "3" key from the keyboard, not the numeric keypad. A fine selection crosshair cursor appears and the original cursor remains fixed on-screen.
Drag a rectangle enclosing a small part of the screen. For instance, you could capture the apple from the Apple menu. Release the mouse button. The captured image is now on the System Clipboard and can be viewed by selecting Show Clipboard from the Edit menu or by pasting it into a document.
